My Training
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have worked in psychiatric hospitals, out-patient clinics, counseling centers, and have returned to private practice since most recently leaving the Vanderbilt Psychological and Counseling Center. My Master's Degree in Social Work is from The University of Tennessee and I have post-Master's training from The Institute for Clinical Social Work in Chicago and from The Advanced Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Training Program in Nashville. I find it helpful to combine different types of therapy in my work, as each person has a unique set of circumstances.

I've given workshops, have supervised new therapists,
have given media presentations, and when it's appropriate, I enjoy a sense of humor in sessions. I'm sensitive to issues of diversity and inclusion, am interested in working with people from various cultural backgrounds, and am a LGBTQ ally. I look forward to meeting you and to answering your questions about my practice.
